A good place to start

Make yourself
at home.

Managerr is a companion to your own media-management services. You need a reachable Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr, Prowlarr, Seerr or Tautulli service and its API key. The app does not set up servers or supply media.

Add your first service

  1. Open Managerr and choose Add a Service. You can try Explore the demo in Settings without a server first.
  2. Select the service and give it a name you will recognise, such as “Movies · Home”.
  3. Enter the full server address, including the port and base path. For example, http://192.168.1.10:8989/sonarr.
  4. Copy the API key from the service’s settings. Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr and Prowlarr show it under General → Security; Seerr under General; Tautulli under Web Interface → API. For Seerr, use the owner’s API key.
  5. Add custom headers if your reverse proxy requires them. Tap Test Service, then Save.

Add more services in Settings. The service filter is available from each main destination. Identical titles on different servers remain separate entries.

Network & access

The service test fails

Confirm that the address opens from Safari on this device. Check the port, base path, API key and proxy headers. Allow Managerr’s Local Network permission in system Settings for LAN servers. Reaching a server from your desktop does not prove that your iPhone can reach the same address.

Connecting away from home

Use your existing VPN or a reachable HTTPS reverse proxy with a trusted certificate. Managerr does not set up remote access. HTTP is supported for user-owned servers, but sends keys and data without transport encryption; use it only on a trusted network.

Certificates, redirects and proxy authentication

Managerr uses normal certificate validation and does not bypass certificate errors. Use the final server address: authenticated redirects are refused to protect keys and custom headers. Basic or bearer proxy authentication can be entered as an Authorization header. Cloudflare Access service tokens can be entered as custom headers. Browser-only login flows are not supported.

One service is unavailable

Successful services remain visible. Failed sections show their error and last-update time while saved content stays available offline. Pull to refresh after restoring connectivity. Writes are never queued for later replay.

Daily use

Finding a release or fixing an import

Open a movie, series, season or episode to run an automatic or interactive search. Interactive results show rejection reasons before you choose a release. Manual import works with a folder path on the server, not a folder on your phone. Review media matching and quality before confirming an import.

What does “command accepted” mean?

Sonarr, Radarr and Lidarr run searches, scans, imports and renames in the background. Accepted means the server received the command. Follow its current status in Activity; it can still fail or take time to complete.

Widgets and reminders

Widgets read a local snapshot shared by the app and show its freshness. Open the app to fetch new data. Local reminders are opt-in, based on calendar information last fetched by the app. Date changes are reconciled when Managerr refreshes, so reminders are not a real-time server notification service.

Seerr requests and playback controls

Seerr needs an owner API key for administration. Destination profiles, folders, language options and 4K capabilities come from that Seerr service. Tautulli can stop a playback session only when its connected Plex server supports the operation and the required permissions and Plex Pass are present.

iPad and Mac

Managerr adapts to your window with a sidebar on wider layouts. Use Command-F to search and Command-comma for Settings. The iPad app is intended to be available on compatible Apple silicon Macs at release. There is no separate Intel Mac or Catalyst app.

Removing a service

Remove it in Settings to delete its saved configuration, API key, cached data, reminders and widget entries from this device. This does not delete anything on the server. Removing media is a separate action with its own confirmation.

Still stuck?

Managerr talks only to the servers you configure, so a problem it reports is usually one the server is reporting too. Check that service’s own logs and its web interface for the same title or download — the answer is nearly always there, and it is the one place with the detail Managerr never sees.
